Olympic National Forest

Top: These Black Bear tracks paralleled mine.  I entered the forest here about two hours before dawn to conduct a Marbled Murrelet survey.
I had a flashlight of course and when I was coming out of the forest about an two hours after dawn I found these new bear tracks that paralleled
mine for about 20 meters.  Did it follow me?

Bottom: A couple of days later I found this.
My machete blade had a 10.5 inch blade.
