Big Black Iguanas would reside in the trees in the middle of the river.  If you got too close they would jump into the water.  Rodrigo and I even
saw a large black Hawk (possibly a Zone-tailed Hawk, Buteo albonotatus, or a Common Black Hawk) once on a tree in the middle of this river.
