Las Hoyas, Sierra de Manantlan Biosphere Reserve

Top: Some days just after dawn we would bird-by-ear along the forest trails.  This was preparation for point count surveys that we conducted in
mid July.  After mist-netting and lunch we would conduct behavioral observations of birds through auditory and visual surveys which included
spot mapping, nest searching, and nest monitoring.
Bottom: Mario and Rodrigo in front of a very large tree (at least 30 meters tall).
