Mike and I ran into this abandoned shack in the forest and grabbed a bunch of giant tailless whipscorpions (amblypygians) for the University of
Guadalajara's taxonomic collection.  These things would scurry sidewise on the walls as we approached them.  It reminded me of the movie
"Aliens".  These things freaked out some of us so much that they wouldn't even get within ten meters off the shack's entrance!
Amblypygians are generally nocturnal and feed on insects.
