Eric and Juliens' Epic Snail Kite Adventure!
I was helping a graduate student catch Snail Kite, Rostrhamus sociabilis, nestlings.  We found two of them in a Pond Apple tree.  The adult
birds were mobbing us and calling with these cackling sounds.  The nestlings were banded and morphometry was carried out on them
(i.e. weight, wing length, etc.).
Snail Kites seem to nest in small tree islands in Sawgrass marshes.
