Airboat storage yard by intersection of Krome Avenue and highway 41
The introduced Cuban Treefrogs, Osteopilus septentrionalis, has large
toe pads for scaling
vertical surfaces on plants.
Like many species of tree frogs they are nocturnal.
They a lot of native frogs (adults and tadpoles), contributing to the latter's
decline in south
Florida.
These frogs are also very toxic and I made the painful mistake of wiping
my eyes after holding
this frog. It felt like hydrogen peroxide was in my left eye.
