mark and recapture study to determine survivorship
of fish in Bear Creek (drains into Buffalo River)
measured total length of creek between seine nets
transects-width of creek taken at fixed distances
along this route. DVS-Depth, velocity, substrate
depth (meters)taken at 3 distances along transect,
left/middle/right
surface velocity ..height of riffle on meter stick
substrate....silt, gravel, cobble, boulder
canopy cover estimated with clinometer...angle size of
opening in canopy (0-180degrees) between shores of
creek.

off rocks....very important ecological species to the
area)
